WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS

To receive benefits from the Lemnos North America 5-Year Limited Warranty, your Lemnos product(s) must be purchased exclusively from a Lemnos Authorized Retailer, or from this website.  A proof of purchase including the complete Lemnos product name and the date of purchase must be submitted upon request prior to the performing of any warranty and customer service.  Purchases made from entities in commerce outside of North America, including Japan, are not eligible for warranty or customer service.  Amazon.com, eBay.com, and any other third-party e-commerce platforms, where Lemnos products may be offered and sold by unverified companies or individuals, are not authorized sales channels for Lemnos products.  

If these conditions are not met, the manufacturer’s guarantee does not apply and the warranty is not in effect

  • My Lemnos Clock doesn't work anymore. What should I do?
    Check if the clock's battery has depleted by changing to a new battery. The normal lifespan of the battery for a clock is typically between 6 months to 1 year. When a clock stops working it usually is time to change the battery.
  • My Lemnos Clock's part is damaged, can you send me a replacement part?
    Lemnos Clocks' parts are proprietary and are not available for purchase or can be replaced. Please be careful with your Lemnos Clock when adjusting time (by performing this task slowly) without damaging the clock movement or parts which may be delicately connected to the clock body.
  • I bought my Lemnos Clock from Japan, but it does not work here. Why?
    Lemnos Clocks in North America are made for the North American market and may be different from what are available in Japan. Specifically, Japan uses a radio-controlled clock movement that receives a Japan-only radio signal, rendering the Clock non-workable outside of Japan. There is no manual way to set a Japanese radio-controlled Lemnos Clock. Additionally, please be advised cross-border purchases do not have warranty and customer service outside of the country of purchase.
  • I still have an issue with my Lemnos Clock (Wall, Alarm, Cuckoo).
    Please visit Warranty Information for product replacement information and use the Customer Service contact form and send us a message detailing the issue you are experiencing with your Lemnos Clock. Please be sure to include a copy of your original Proof of Purchase along with your message.
  • I bought my Lemnos Clock on Amazon and eBay. What should I know?
    Lemnos products offered by third party sellers on Amazon, eBay, and other online shopping platforms that allow third party sellers are not authenticated. The origin of the merchandise is not verified and the product images, information, and specifications of these product listings on these websites are not created, validated, or approved by Lemnos. As a result, there are no express or implied warranty or after-sale services from Lemnos for these purchases. Additionally, recently, incidences of counterfeited Lemnos products have been reported. If you have questions pertaining to these purchases or need after-sales services performed, please contact the point-of-purchase.
  • How is the Replacement Warranty processed?
    The customer presents to the Lemnos Authorized Retailer, the original Point of Purchase with a valid original Proof of Purchase to initiate the replacement process. The Retailer will provide us with the necessary visual information such as images, videos, to be approved by Lemnos Japan upon which a replacement is issued. The customer receives the new replacement and the defective unit is returned to us.
  • What is the story behind the name Lemnos? I know it is a Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea.
    When the founder of Lemnos, Mr. Hiroshi Takata traveled to Europe he visited the Greek island Lemnos and fell in love with the beauty and tranquility of this island. In Greek mythology it is also the island where Hephaestus, the Greek god of fire and blacksmiths established a copper workshop and taught the residents of the island the secret techniques of metal carving, forging, and casting. Lemnos was first started in 1947 as a metal craft manufacturer for Buddhist altar fittings. The Toyama Prefecture of Japan, where Lemnos' headquarter and factories are based, is also known for metalworks and woodcrafts that can trace their tradition back hundreds of years. Thus Mr. Takata chose his brand's name as Lemnos.
  • Is there a particular way I should set the time on my Clock?
    You should always move the clock hands clockwise. Changing the time counter-clockwise may damage the clock movement.
  • How many different kinds of clocks does Lemnos make?
    At the moment, there are over 300 different models (including different colors) of Lemnos Clocks. They are available spread out in our Authorized Retailers' catalogs.
  • I don't see the Lemnos Logo anywhere on my clock. Why is that?
    Lemnos Clocks are design clocks made in collaboration with designers. Therefore the designs come first and if after the design process a logo is not added we respect such decision and will create the timepiece as such. Additionally, this is how a Lemnos Clock can be a design art piece for any space. A customer can have multiple Lemnos timepieces in his or her home or office and enjoy simply the presence and the beauty of the designs as they are.
  • What is the Lemnos Hologram Authentication Label
    Lemnos products sold in North America are distributed responsibly through a network of quality and reputable retailers with full manufacturer's warranty, guarantee, and after-sale services. To verify the authenticity of your Lemnos purchase, please look for a 3 layer Hologram laser label that is affixed on the packaging of your Lemnos product. This proprietary Hologram label contains 3 important graphic and textual features: Lemnos Logo, Plum (ume) blossom graphic motif watermarks, and an unique production batch number. If you do not see the Hologram Authentication Label on your new Lemnos product packaging, the product you purchased is not authorized to be sold or used in North America, or may not be a genuine Lemnos product. If you have question with the authenticity or the validity of the warranty for your Lemnos purchase, please inquire with your point of purchase or contact us.
  • I do not have a receipt for my Lemnos product.
    A proof of purchase from a Lemnos Authorized Retailer must be presented for the replacement of any defective Lemnos product. Verification of factory defectiveness is performed by Lemnos Japan and must be granted before a replacement can be issued. Contact the point of sale of your Lemnos product for the proof of purchase to initiate the replacement process.
  • Terms and Conditions of the Lemnos North America Warranty
    The following Lemnos North America Warranty applies to Lemnos products sold and presented for warranty replacement in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. All Lemnos products carry a total of 5 year warranty period. 1 year manufacturer’s warranty that guarantees craftsmanship and functionality of the clock movement, and an additional 4 year warranty covered the same by its North American distributor ACGS Brands Inc. Within the warranty period, customer with a manufacturer's defect must contact the Retailer (original point of sale) with the proof of purchase to initiate the replacement process. WARRANTY VOID Tampering with any Lemnos product will result in voiding its original manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty is not valid for items purchased from unauthorized sellers on Amazon, eBay, and any other third-party selling platforms. Warranty does not cover any external damages or lost parts due to customer’s negligence.
  • My Lemnos is not working but I am outside of the warranty period.
    Outside of the warranty period, exchanging for replacement is performed between the customer and ACGS Brands Inc, the exclusive distributor of Lemnos in North America. A discount for a new product as replacement can be offered once the product is verified by Lemnos Japan as defective. This is determined case-by-case based on ACGS Brands Inc's discretion.
  • Can I repair my Lemnos product instead of replacing it?
    Lemnos products with mechanical parts cannot be repaired and replacement parts are not available for purchase or be sent as part of the warranty. They can only be replaced with the Lemnos North America 2-Year Warranty. Please exercise care when using a Lemnos product. Outside of the warranty period, a Lemnos product with a manufacturer's defect may be replaced via a standardized discount for a new working product.
  • How do I exercise the Lemnos replacement warranty?
    A warranty claim must be submitted to and accepted by the Retailer where it was purchased with the original proof of purchase. The Defective item is to be returned to the Retailer. Upon verification and approval by Lemnos Japan, the defective will be replaced with a brand new unit to the customer by the Retailer. Please contact the Retailer to confirm the Defective is valid for warranty service prior to returning the item to its original point of purchase. Customer is responsible for sending the Defective to the Retailer and the Retailer is responsible for sending the replacement to the customer. If a Lemnos product appears to malfunction, please first test the functionality by changing its battery first. A non-defective product will be returned to the customer as is and the customer may be subject to additional fees by the Retailer before the item is returned.
  • How do I cancel an order?
    For items marked as in-stock, the order can be canceled prior to shipment dispatch. For items that have a lead time of 2-4 weeks, specially made-to-order, the order cannot be canceled once it is placed. Thank you for your understanding.
  • What is Lemnos Webstore's Return Policy
    Your purchase from the Lemnos North America Webstore can be returned if the item is defective upon arrival. Purchases from Lemnos Authorized Retailers follow their respective return policy.
  • Can I gift wrap my order?
    We do not offer gift wrapping services. Thank you for your understanding.
